PLANNING & ORGANIZING A PET PHOTOSHOOT
Arranging the perfect Pet Photoshoot

WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE ME FOR YOUR PET PHOTOGRAPHY?

I’ve been capturing pets professionally since 2002, with hundreds of happy clients and accolades like the Best Pet Photographer of the Year (8 years running). My work speaks for itself, but if you don’t absolutely adore your photos, you’ll get your money back.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME FOR A PET PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION?

There’s truly no “perfect” time. Whether your pet is in their young and playful years or has gracefully aged, I’ll capture moments that you’ll treasure forever.

WHEN IS THE BEST PREPARE FOR MY PET PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION?

Once we have our initial chat, I’ll guide you every step of the way to make sure both you and your pet have an unforgettable experience.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME OF DAY FOR A PET PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION?

In the cooler months, anytime goes. But spring and summer mornings or early evenings give us that lovely soft light.

AND, IF IT POURS WITH RAIN ON OUR SCHEDULED DAY?

Ah, the unpredictable PNW weather! Always have a backup date in mind. If both get rained out, we’ll just find the next best date that suits us. And just between us, I find cloudy weather utterly dreamy for photos.

HOW WILL I CHOOSE THE RIGHT PHOTOS FOR MY HOME?

After our session, we’ll sit down together to design the perfect set of photos for your space. We’ll chat about which images you want to share and which ones deserve prime real estate on your wall.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY PHOTOGRAPHS AND ARTWORK?

After we finalize your favorite shots, you’ll receive your artwork in just three weeks.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CHANGE OUR APPOINTMENT OR CANCEL ALTOGETHER?

Life happens!  You can always reschedule. If you need to cancel, we’ll handle it case-by-case. No stress.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING MY PET EXPERIENCE DAY

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE "EXPERIENCE DAY"?

This day is all about you, your pet, and the memories we’ll make. After we’ve picked the ideal location, it’s time to relax, have fun, and let me capture the magic.

CAN MY UNTRAINED OR NAUGHTY DOG STILL HAVE A SUCCESSFUL SESSION?

Absolutely! While I have a soft spot for well-trained dogs, I cherish naughty ones too – I have three at home! Sessions are about capturing your dog’s unique personality, not about training. Expect treats, toys, and absolutely no pressure. I’m the fun aunt in the pet photography world!

WILL PETS NEED TO BE OFF THEIR LEASHES DURING THE SESSION?

It’s all about your comfort and your pet’s safety. On a leash or off, I guarantee beautiful results.

CAN I JOIN MY PET IN THE PHOTOS?

Yes, yes, and yes! While the spotlight will be on your pet, I adore capturing the bond between pets and their humans. Candid moments are my favorite, and don’t worry, I know how daunting having your photo taken can be – I’ll make it as easy-going as possible.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR A PET PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION

DO I NEED TO FEED OR EXCERCISE MY DOG BEFORE THE SESSION?

A light meal before is perfect. And while an active dog might benefit from a pre-session walk, it’s not a must. I’ll be using pre-approved treats to engage them during the shoot.

SHOULD I BRING MY DOG'S FAVORITE TOYS OR OUTFITS?

Feel free to! Though it’s not required, favorite items can sometimes help in capturing those special moments.

CAN I FAMILIARIZE MY DOG WITH THE PHOTO SESSION LOCATION BEFOREHAND?

You’re welcome to, but it’s not essential. Some clients find it helpful for their pets to get a feel for the place in advance..

My goal is always to provide a fun, relaxed experience for both you and your pet, capturing moments you’ll treasure forever.

Remember my motto  “If It’s Not Fun, You’re not Doing it Right!”
